Turtle

Welcome to Turtle Class

In Turtles class we work on our social, emotional and mental health across all areas of the curriculum. We are working towards using strategies that help us stay regulated so we can learn effectively. We take part in off site visits practicing our skills in the community and work hard to make and maintain friendships.

We are really sorry we have had to shut school today (2/11/23) due to the severe weather. However it is very apt learning for our topic this term!

 

If you are able to please see the activities below the children may like to take part in at home. 

How's The Weather? | ft. the Super Simple Puppets | Super Simple Songs

This is the weather song we do daily in class. The children may enjoy singing it with you and talking about the weather they see and hear today!

Weather plate

The children might like to put a container outside to see how much rain they can collect today (if it doesn't blow away!). The can check on it throughout the day and practice using language such as more, full, lots. Later in the day they can pour the water into a measuring jug and practice reading the scale for number recognition.
