What a fantastic first term we have had in Badger class! The children have all been learning about their school environment and building relationships with the class adults and each other. They have been exploring, investigating and developing an awareness of their school day and routines. The adults have played games to build on their anticipation through the language: ‘Ready, Steady… go!’ Balloons, bubbles and balls have been very popular. Most importantly, the adults have learnt lots about the children 😊 The adults have been observing and having fun figuring out what catches the children’s attention, how they like to communicate and of course what the children find most engaging… Engagement is very important in Badger class! Next Term we look forward to increasing their engagement through the 5 engagement areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, persistence and initiation.
