We are so excited to welcome you to Raccoon Class!
We are a mixed Early Years/Key Stage One class providing a nurturing environment in which all children feel safe to be themselves. We strive to provide an enriching learning environment for all of the children, supporting development through individualised outcomes carried out through a play centred approach to learning.
We understand the importance of sensory integration for all pupils and provide sensory rich environments and activities throughout each day to create a solid foundation for learning. Our curriculum is centred around developing the children’s engagement, in particularly their curiosity, responsiveness, anticipation, perseverance and initiation skills.
Communication and interaction is always at the heart of everything we do, and we cannot wait to get to know the children and begin building relationships with them.
Overall, we want each child to feel valued, understood and accepted for who they are. Their happiness and well-being is of the upmost importance to us and we hold this above all else.
