Every child and every adult in our school is a School Council member, this means our council can represent the views of all our pupils and staff. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Richmond
Each week at every class takes part in a class meeting where they debate current topics and share their ideas about things happening in the school.
Every class had elected two class representatives who meet with all the elected representatives every week to discuss the class meeting results and action the work needed to make the changes suggested by their peers.
Mayfield
At Mayfield we are building the council to run the same way as Richmond...watch this space!
Following feedback from their classes, the Richmond class representatives have been working on building and preparing for litter picking to be an available activity during lunchtimes. They are working hard to source equipment, work out storage and a fair system so that everyone who wants to can be involved...Watch this space!
This term the meeting members have been writing a few facts about themselves so that pupils in the school can get to know them better. They will be on display on the School Council notice board in the school hall.
