Welcome to Chameleon Class

We like to have fun in Chameleon class and be engaged in our learning. We make mistakes because they help us learn and we try to be as independent as possible. We enjoy learning inside and outside the classroom.

Term 3

This term, our learning will centre on geography, with an exciting focus on rivers.  We will discover fascinating facts about how rivers form and flow, learning key vocabulary such as the source of a river and its journey to the sea.  Pupils will explore some of the world’s greatest rivers - the Nile, Amazon, Yangtze, Mississippi-Missouri and Yenisie - while also taking part in field visits to our local river - the River Dour.  To build important life skills, we will visit our local supermarket to purchase ingredients and create a range of recipes from pizzas to cakes.  In art, pupils will be inspired by river-themed work from famous artists including Monet (River Seine), Seurat (La Grande Jatte on the Seine) and Vincent Van Gogh (Starry Night Over The Rhone), exploring how light and movement are captured through art.
