Year 3

School Closure - 2.11.23

Due to the severe weather we are experiencing today, Mayfield and Richmond sites are closed.

Here are some activities you can do at home:

Maths:  continue practising addition work.  You can use this worksheet to help you practise:

You can also spend some time learning your times tables.  Here are some practice sheets to help you:

Don't worry if you can't print out these worksheets.  Just write your answers on a piece of paper.

Literacy:   Write a story or a description based on 'A Windy Day'.  You can use your imagination and write a story about something that happened on a very windy day.  Alternatively, look out of the window and describe what you can see outside.  Use your other senses, too.  Don't forget to include description of what you can hear, as well!

Don't forget to do some reading today.  Perhaps you can enjoy reading a book of your choice, as well as your school reading book.

Also, practise your spellings which you have been given to learn this week.

Other ideas:

Think about your learning during last term.  We have learnt about the Stone Age and have begun to find out about the Bronze Age.  Can you draw a picture, create a poster or build a model, which represents an aspect of your learning which you have enjoyed or found interesting?

We have also found out about different rocks and fossils in our Science work.  Can you find out some more facts about rocks or fossils?  BBC Bitesize have some useful information about Fossils and Soil.

Have a go at some Yoga!

We hope you find these activities helpful.  However, most importantly, stay safe, and we will hopefully see you all back in school on Friday!
