On Wednesday 20th October, Ms Taylor and Mr Hitchiner took 10 children to participate in the McCarthy cup at St Faith's in Ash. We played 5 matches within a small league, winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 1, after this, we managed to make get ourselves in the semi-final facing up against tough competition. Everyone played exceptionally well. A particular mention of outstanding play has to go to Gracie for some excellent work between the sticks and Sofia for swerving in and out of players on many occasions.

Excellent work again Whitfield! You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Well done.

Year 5 and 6 Girl's football tournament

On Thursday the 14th October, Mr Dillon and Mr Hitchiner took 10 girls to play football at Goodwin Academy. They came up against tough competition and managed to get themselves 3 wins, with Sofia scoring twice and Marly scored once. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and played against 8 other high quality teams.

A massive well done to all the children!

Next week we will be playing in the McCarthy cup at St Faith's in Ash, we go again!

Year 5/6 tag rugby event at the Duke of York Military School

On Friday the 8th October 2021, Mr Hitchiner and Dean took 9 children from year 5 and year 6 to participate in a tag-rugby event. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed interacting with and playing against children from other schools (something we have not been able to do for many years!). We won 3 out of 5 of our matches, with tries from Ella, Lily, Dylan, Aden, Priya (scored 2), Jack (scored 4) and Keylum (who scored 10).

Our player of the tournament was Ella due to her positive and encouraging attitude throughout all matches.

Well done to everyone who took part!
