Shakespeare Club 2026

Welcome to Shakespeare Club 2026 at Whitfield Aspen School. Through storytelling, guided discussion, and creative activities, children will build confidence in reading, listening, and expressing ideas in a supportive classroom environment.

Each session introduces key themes from plays in a clear and engaging way, helping children connect with characters, feelings, and language. Our focus includes classic stories such as King Lear, presented through simplified retellings and thoughtful prompts that encourage comprehension and respectful conversation. Children will learn how to follow plot, notice important details, and practise speaking with clarity.

We aim to strengthen literacy skills while nurturing curiosity about literature and the performing arts.
