Help with Childcare Costs
Did you know that if you receive Universal Credit and are working, you may be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs?
This can include costs for:
- Breakfast Club
- After School Club
- Holiday clubs
How it works:
- You pay your childcare provider as normal
- You then report the cost through your Universal Credit account
- You can receive up to 85% of the cost back in your next payment
There are monthly limits to how much can be claimed, but this support can make a significant difference to the overall cost of childcare.
Who can apply:
- Parents/carers who receive Universal Credit
- And are in work (or starting work soon)
- Using a registered childcare provider
