Week 7 11th - 15th May

We hope you all had a good weekend. Are you all set for another week?

Things are getting really dangerous for Alex Rider in Stormbreaker - we can't wait to see the work you produce for chapters 12, 13 and 14. The audio files are ready for you in the English section: https://www.whitfieldaspenschool.co.uk/english/

Have you logged in to Purple Mash recently? Last week we set a 2Do about creating a 3D maze. The children who have completed this 2Do have really enjoyed it, so if you haven't tried it yet think about having a go this week laugh You can then share your maze with the rest of the Year Group on the blog.

This week marks Water Saving Week. At the start of Year 5 we had a great visit from Affinity Water. Can you remember the water saving tips we learnt that day? Wateraid have got some fun games and activities to play based on saving water here: https://www.wateraid.org/uk/get-involved/teaching/films-games-and-songs

It is also National Vegetarian Week - can you create a interesting vegetarian recipe to share with everyone when we get back? You could tweak a recipe you already know or create your own one from scratch?

Keep reading and practising your arithmetic skills. We shared some handy websites in last week's update here that might come in handy again: https://www.whitfieldaspenschool.co.uk/week-6-4th-8th-may/

We are missing you all  - stay safe and we'll seen you soon,

Mrs Thornhill, Mrs Tierney and Mr Lowrey
