Week 4 25th - 29th January

Our theme for home learning this week is Animals: Pets and Wild Animals.

I know that lots of us have pets at home, and I'd love to know more about them. Here is a short video of pets:

But don't worry if you haven't got pets at home. Instead you can focus on a wild animal of your choice!

So along with your Purple Mash 2Dos for this week, here are some more activities that you might like to do:

  • Watch Newsround and discuss some of the news stories you've found most interesting with someone at home:
  • Write up your weekend news - did you go for a nice walk, watch a new film or play a game?
  • Write a diary for a week in the life of your pets - what do they get up to each day?
  • Write a fact file about a wild animal of your choice. There are some great virtual animal talks from our local wildlife parks. Here are a few to get you started!

Wildwood Arctic Fox Talk

Did you know that Arctic foxes can easily cope with temperatures as low as -70 degrees celcius? Find out more facts about this inquisitive species with Wildwood Trust.

Wildwood Trust Bear Talk

Learn all about the European brown bear with Wildwood's Langan Turner.

Meet the Baby Penguins with Becky & Sarah from Wingham Wildlife Park

Meet the baby penguins that hatched at Wingham Wildlife Park earlier this year!

Here is another Draw with Rob tutorial that I think you'll enjoy!
