16th - 20th November 2020
This week we have been looking at the classic poem 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyes. The children have been performing verses of the poem in small groups, getting to grips with the language and understanding the imagery . They all created some amazing art work, which you can see hanging in our classroom windows. We have also been tackling fractions looking at mixed numbers and improper fractions, with some consolidation work set on purplemash for them to complete.
In geography with have continued to look at the World's natural resources and thinking about what fuels we will be using the future and how we can reduce out food mileage, we discussed if buying local is always best?
Next week is assessment week so we may be a bit exhausted when we come home!
Another quick reminder that we are trying to minimise the amount of things brought in from home so if possible can the children only bring in essential items, eg: lunch, water bottle, coat and bag. Unfortunately they cannot bring in toys or things they have made at home, please feel free to take photos and email them to us though, we would love to see them.
On Wednesday we will be calling you, hopefully at the time that you have been given. We have been allotted ten minutes per interview, so apologies if we have to cut the conversation short. If you cannot make your scheduled time or have not received a time, please contact us on our email or call the office.
We look forward to speaking speaking to you.
