9th November - 13th November 2020
We have had a productive week so far. Having finished Cloud Busting, the children have produced some creative pieces of poetry based on the issues of friendship the book has provided. In maths, we have moved on to fractions, decimals and percentages where the children have been learning about how they can relate to one another. Early in the week we looked at renewable and non-renewable energy and investigated hydropower, by making our own water powered turbines (with varied success!).
Our Science learning has been focussed on the planets in the Solar System, how we have night and day and how the seasons come about. We have hopefully addressed some interesting misconceptions about the moon.
The children are welcome to bring in a change of shoes to wear at playtimes or indoor shoes to wear inside such as plimsoles, it not recommended for children to be wandering around in their socks. Also if they would like to bring a hoodie to wear to reduce the amount of mud they get on their uniform, they are welcome to do this too.
Thank you to all who have responded so far and please let us know by the 16th November when it would be a good time for us to contact you on the 25th November. Either respond to the following emails:
