Literacy Challenge

Today we would like you to draw or paint a picture of the 3 bears and have a go at labelling them.

Maths Challenge

In maths today we would like you to measure how tall your teddy bears are. You can use building blocks or Lego to measure their height.

How tall are the teddies in the picture below? How tall is your tallest teddy? How tall is your shortest teddy? You can take photos or draw pictures to show your findings. Encourage your child to speak in sentences when talking about their learning. This will help them understand and embed the mathematical language being used. For example, the teddy bear is 5 blocks tall.

Phonics

Today we would like your child to practise the sounds and tricky words again by playing the Flashcard Speed Trial and Tricky Word Truck games on Phonics Play. We would also like them to have a go at the Space Race Game. Start with the Phase 2 game and if your child is feeling confident they can try Phase 3. They may need some support as we are revising the Phase 3 sounds this term.
