Thursday 25th February

Good Morning!

Hello everyone! Well done to all of you for completing the home challenges yesterday. The healthy snacks that you made for the Hungry Caterpillar looked delicious! Some of you have also been baking biscuits, cookies and cakes which I am sure the Caterpillar would love to eat!

We are going to start our day with a Yoga session about a butterfly called Coco.

Literacy Challenge

In our story this week, the Very Hungry Caterpillar eats lots of different food including some healthy fruit and some not so healthy foods. On Saturday he eats too much and has a stomach ache.

Today we would like you to draw a picture of some of your favourite foods and have a go at labelling them. You might like to have a go at baking these such as cakes and biscuits. You could help to make your favourite dinner. Have fun and we look forward to seeing which food you like the best.

Maths Challenge

The Activity:

- For this activity you will need some 1p coins, if you don't have any you could make some of your own or draw them!

-Choose two of your pieces of fruit from the price list you made yesterday, add up how much they will cost.

-You can use your coins to help you work out the total (put the coins under the fruits or numbers and count how many there are altogether.)

  • you can do as many combinations as you would like: what is the most expensive combination? (the one which costs the most) what is the least expensive combination? (the one which cost the least).
  • Parents- If you have a go at this maths challenge, please take some pictures and add some comments for the evidence for learning app, thank you!
