What is a Specialist Nursery Interventions?

Our interventions now have a more flexible approach, allowing our practitioners to arrange sessions that can be beneficial to meeting key times for supporting the setting and the child's wellbeing. Practitioners no longer have fixed hours on fixed days. The length of the intervention will be decided by the Specialist Team. Practitioners will be available for observations and assessments to provide and assist with the writing of Statutory Requests if appropriate. Booking out time with the SENCo to assist in the writing of the Statutory Request. During the intervention our Practitioners are able to create and prepare resources for the child, that may support them with their current targets, as well as any other strategies that may be beneficial. Practitioners will support staff in a variety of different ways, by role modeling ideas and strategies and also providing any signposting for any other relevant training that may be beneficial. Our Practitioners have a range of resources as guidance, as to what may be beneficial to helping the child achieve their targets and provide sensory support for future purchases in the settings.
