Panther Class

Term 6

I can't quite believe I'm typing this, but we are in the final term of the first ever year for Panther Class. The year has just flown by! This term our topic is Recycling and the Environment. We'll be looking at how different materials can be recycled and how we can help the environment. We will also be trying to earn our own Blue Peter badges. Towards the end of term we have a trip booked for Rippledown, which is set to be lots of fun!

Here is our timetable for this term:

Ducklings and a Mother Hen!

Term 5

I hope you've all had a good rest over the Easter break. We have lots of lovely things planned for this term and our main focus is Around the World. We will be learning about the different continents and oceans of the world and then focussing on one continent in particular!

We will also be attempting to hatch our very own butterflies in class this term laugh. Keep an eye on the website for regular photo updates!

Term 4

Our main theme for Term 4 will be Pioneers of Transport, but we will also be spending the remainder of this term enjoying being back in class - playing games together, enjoying Forest School together, cooking together...can you see the common theme?!

Here is our timetable:

On Mondays, for PE the children will need trainers and a PE kit. This can be left in class.

Every other Wednesday, we have Forest School. On these days the children will need wellies in school. They can come to school in suitable clothes (that you don't mind getting muddy!) and a change of clothes in their bags. We will have Forest School on Wednesday 10th and Wednesday 24th March.

Term 2

Thank you to Rev Sean for his Virtual Christingle Service - we loved making our Christingles in class. Merry Christmas!

We've been feeling festive in class this week and have made these candy cane mice and 'Eric' our class snowman!

We have been learning about barn owls this term and the class got to dissect owl pellets to see what an owl in Yorkshire had been eating - we found it very interesting!

To finish our work about Rama and Sita and Divali we made these beautiful diva lamps and rangoli patterns on the playground.

Welcome back to school - we have lots of fun planned for this term and we can't wait to get started again. Here is our timetable for this term.

Welcome to Panther Class

We are a new class for September 2020 and we can't get to get started! We like to learn through fun and experiences in Panther Class and be engaged in our learning. We make mistakes because they help us learn and we try to be as independent as possible. We enjoy learning inside and outside the classroom.
