To round off Term 5, you're going to learn a fun song called Baby Beluga.
Do you know what a 'beluga' is? If not, follow the link to find out and then have a go at learning the song.
Draw a portrait and write a musical memory
I have a lovely activity for you this week, one which will make someone you care about very happy!
Follow the link below to the BBC Ten Pieces website and scroll down to find Week 3: Draw a portrait and write a musical memory.
Start by listening to Elgar's Enigma Variations and find out how Elgar wrote musical portraits about people he knew.
Then look at the second video which explains what you have to do - and at the end you will have something special to send to someone you care about.
If you can, email a copy of your portrait to your class teacher and ask them to send it on to me (Mrs Avery). I'd love to see your thoughtful work!
Time for another song!
I've found a great song for you to learn this week called 'What Makes a Family?'.
It celebrates families of every size and shape and it has a very catchy tune!
You can learn the Makaton signing to go with the song and there are also some activity ideas based on the song. Why not choose your favourite to have a go at?
Pulse and Rhythm
Do you know the difference between pulse and rhythm?
Take a look at the video clips below to find out and have a go at joining in by clapping or using body percussion.
Let's get singing!
Let's start the new term off with a song! Have a go at learning One moment, one people and get everyone at home joining in!
