Term 6

Hello everyone. It's Mrs Avery here again!

I hope you have all been enjoying the musical activities and songs I put up for you last term. I've left the links so you can revisit them if you'd like to.

Week 1:  The Firebird by Stravinksy

This week you're going to listen to a wonderful piece of music about a magical bird of fire who eats golden apples!

You can then draw or paint your own version a Firebird - follow the link below to find out more.

Week 2: The Bare Necessities

The Bare Necessities is an old favourite from the film The Jungle Book.

This week, learn how to sing the song - with some additional beatboxing and rapping!

Week 3: A mythical creature .......

Music can paint pictures and tell stories. This week's piece of music will inspire you to imagine your own mythical creature, which you can write a story about or, if you prefer, draw a picture. Follow the link below and see where your imagination takes you ......

Week 4: The people who help us

Time for another song.

We'd all like to say 'thank you' to the people who help us and here's a song to help us do just that.

Have a go at learning it and get everyone at home to join in.

The People Who Help Us

A song for children saying thank you to keyworkers

Week 5: DJ inspired dance

Get moving and create turntable inspired choreography with Jordan Douglas.

Have a listen to this interesting piece of music than have a go at some tabletop choreography.

Week 6: Explore beginnings with Beethoven

This week it's all about beginnings and Beethoven with one of the most famous motifs in musical history! Do you recognise it?
