We hope you all had an enjoyable half term holiday! The weather has been lovely over the weekend and hopefully you were able to get out in the garden or out for a walk. We have enjoyed looking at your snowy photographs. Hopefully we will be able to get outside more this term as the weather improves!
Over the next couple of weeks we are going to be looking at the story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.' We are going to start our day by warming up with some Yoga.
During the next couple of weeks, we will be basing our activities on the story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar.'
You may already know this story, or even have the book at home. If you don't you can watch it on the video below.
For your Literacy task today we would like you to draw a picture of something you did during the half term break. You might have gone for a ride on your bike, baked cakes, played in the garden, took your dog for a walk or even watched your favourite film. Write a sentence to explain what you did. If you find this tricky, ask a grown up to model the sentence for you. Remember to use your phonics to help you sound out the words. Remember to leave finger spaces between the words and use a capital letter and full stop!
We look forward to hearing all about your half term!
Remember you can share your home learning with us by uploading it to Evidence for Learning or emailing us some pictures.
In the story, the Hungry Caterpillar eats lots of fruit. We would like you to draw a picture of the fruit he eats each day, so for example on Monday he eats one apple. Look at the picture below to help you.
Now your challenge is to work out how much fruit he eats altogether from Monday to Friday!
Can you answer these questions also?
How much fruit did he eat altogether on Monday and Wednesday?
How much fruit did he eat altogether on Tuesday and Friday?
How much fruit did he eat altogether on Wednesday and Thursday?
