We hope you are enjoying this weeks home learning challenges. At school yesterday, the children enjoyed making healthy fruit kebabs for the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Thank you for sending us the photographs of the fruit snacks that you have been making at home, they all look delicious!
Today we are going to make, the Very Hungry Caterpillar using craft materials. Follow the instructions below to make your Caterpillar.
1. Cut strips of paper.
2. Colour the paper using pens or crayons.
3. Make a paper chain with the paper strips.
This week we have been focusing on addition using money! For today's activity we get to have a look at some of the food that the Hungry Caterpillar ate on the weekend- which food would be your favourite? Mine would be the ice cream!
On Saturday the Hungry Caterpillar ate through all sorts of yummy food! Using the price list I have made for you, choose two foods you would like to eat from the list (or maybe think for the caterpillar and choose the leaf!) add up how much they will cost and write down the total.
-You can draw pictures of the foods or just write the numbers, you might want to use your coins to help you, just like I did!
- If you do more than one, talk with your grown up about your addition sums; which was the most expensive combination? (the sum which totalled the most) which was the least expensive? (the sum which totalled the least).
You can share your home learning with us by uploading photographs to Evidence for Learning.
We look forward to seeing it. Have a lovely weekend!
