My name is Beth and I will be your teacher. I love teaching Bluebird Class - we have lots of fun and I am also super proud of the children who come into the class.
I have a dog called Belle who sometimes comes into school as she is a 'Therapy Dog'. She loves to play fetch with children and do lots of tricks!
There are lots of adults to help you in Bluebird class. You will have your own 'Keyworkers' and this means we can form lots of really positive relationships so everyone can feel happy and safe. Here are a few of the adults you will meet in Bluebird Class.
We have two rooms in Bluebird Class. This means we can have an exciting learning environment with lots of areas to explore and a quiet room for calmer learning. This means we can always find the room that suits our mood.
In Bluebird class we use lots of visuals to help us understand what is happening and when. We also use lots of different communication strategies such as PECS, talk pads, communication books and signing.
We spend time on the playground to play with our friends and meet our sensory needs.
In Bluebird class everybody is an individual. You will have your own individual timetable and targets so that you can make progress on the areas that are important for you. We will come together for group sessions, social skills activities and play times so that we all get to see and be friends with everybody else too.
We look forward to seeing you in September and I am sure we will have a fantastic year!
