Well done to the Spring Spelling prizes winners!
A massive well done to Noemi for reading 75 reading books since September and making it back to the bat cave. What a star!

World Book Day 'Shelfies' - 4th March 2021
Enjoy some of the photos of Bee class celebrating World Book Day dressed as their favourite book characters and showing their book collections.
TOKYO OLYMPICS 2021
We are only a few months away from the start of the 2021 Olympiad.
Team GB has set children and their families a challenge to get us all fit and active in the run up to the Olympic Games and beyond. The challenge is to take part in as much physical activity as possible which could be a daily walk, some skateboarding in the park, a game of football or even just a Nintendo Switch workout in the living room. Whatever you and your family take part in you can record it on the Team GB Get Set website.
You will need to select Travel to Tokyo then 'Families' and enter the school postcode CT16 3LJ and then select (from the drop down list) BEE Class to record what you have done.
Let's see if Bee class can beat all other classes at Whitfield Aspen school.
Best wishes
Mrs Cooper and Mrs Williams
Spelling Prizes
Well done to Sophia, India and Skylar for making a tremendous effort to learn their spellings across terms 1 and 2. The new competition starts in January. Good luck everyone.
Mummy Challenge
We finished our Christmas Party with a 'Mummy' challenge. In groups we worked together to wrap toilet roll round a volunteer. We are sure you will agree that the finished 'mummies' were amazing!
Perimeter Robots
We had a great morning producing perimeter robots. We were given measurements and had to work out how we would use these to make a robot eg head = 48cm. This helped to reinforce our knowledge of perimeter and was great fun!
Egyptian Thrones
We have had a great week designing and making thrones for a Pharaoh.
From our initial ideas, we used saws, glue guns, painted and added embellishments to produce an amazing final design.
Superhero Reading
Bee class have got off to a great start with the Superhero reading challenge. Well done to Noemi for reading 15 books since September!
Keep your reading up bees!
Hello
This week, in Maths, we explored the value of digits in 4-digit numbers. We used natural resources which we found in our forest school to create a key which we then used to create 4-digit numbers. For example, we used leaves to represent the tens digit and twigs to represent hundreds digits. It was a lovely morning and we enjoyed working outside in our Maths lesson.
