If you search on the internet, there are an amazing number of paintings depicting 'The Great Fire of London'.  This shows us that it really was a very important historical event.

Have a look at the pictures below:

All these pictures are showing 'The Great Fire of London', but they are all different in their own way.

What do you notice is the same between these pictures, and what is different?

What art materials were used to create these pictures?  Some are definitely paintings, but I think there may be one which uses coloured pencils, and one may be coloured with felt-tipped pens.

Now it is your turn to create a master-piece, depicting 'The Great Fire of London'.  Use whatever art materials you have at home.  It may be that you have some paints, or perhaps you could use coloured pencils or pens.  Even if you have just a pencil, you could create a dramatic picture using light and dark shading.

Try your hardest, and take your time to do the best picture you can.

We would love to see your pictures, so please send us a photo of your art work using our class email address. Enjoy being creative!
