Year 5 - Weasel & Wombat

Term two home learning

Welcome back to term two after what seems like a whirlwind start to the year; we hope you have had a relaxing break. This term we will have a Back in Time theme running through our learning as we explore  the Tudor period through the The Prince and the Pauper and Twelfth Night in our English lessons. Our learning around the Tudors will be supported by a trip to Leeds castle — please ensure you have returned your consent slip.

We will also be working with the children in Year Two to recreate the Tudor style houses found during the Great Fire of London. We will also be (safely) recreating the great blaze that ravished the city.

Once again can we remind you of the Home learning- activities, they  are on the back of this newsletter. It would great if you complete all of  them this term,  in addition to your daily reading (20 mins) and your weekly spelling task that we start in class (remember to look out for any rules or patterns that might help you!).
