World Cup Results
Saffron drew France in the Bee class World Cup draw with Charlie a close second with Croatia - well done to you both!
What a way to finish our year in Bee class! We designed and made Viking ships which are extremely impressive.
Lorelle and Brooke wrote about the investigation which Bee class completed about the Digestive system.
The photographs show what a fun afternoon we had 'making poo'!
Healthy Eating Day
Year 4 had a wonderful Healthy Eating Day! We worked in groups to come
up with a delicious new smoothie. First of all, we had to research on the Tesco website the fruit and their prices as we had to work within a £5 budget. On Thursday we walked to Tesco to buy our fruit and completed a booklet which included how to make a smoothie instructions and an advertising poster. Finally on Friday morning we made our smoothies. They were yummy and well done to the group who came up with the winning design: Lexie, Tilly, Lorelle, Kensie, Theo and Saffron.
We have been making Viking tiles. After researching, we designed our tiles, modelled the shape out of clay and finally painted them. Here is a small selection which went into the book of Achievement.
Non Chronological Reports
Bee class have been writing non chronological reports about a chosen African animal. We spent time researching an animal of our choice and learning all about the features of this type of writing including: writing in the present tense, using connectives and adverbs. We are very proud of our finished piece of writing. Here are a few of them.
Spring Competition Time in Bee Class
A big well done to the following pupils: Semoon for achieving 100% in all his spelling tests this term and Macie and Barney for winning the other two spelling prizes. Jayden has received the reading prize in the Superhero reading challenge for reading 57 books since September!
Competitions start again in the Summer term - good luck to all pupils in Bee Class.
World Book Day
Bee class had great fun during book week studying 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt. We wrote diary entries, persuasive letters and colour poems. We hope you like some of the photos of our busy week.
